This phase uses an ancient technique in which cylinders of different sizes and with different speeds, card the single fibers trying to parallelize them as much as possible. A sequence of cards lined up like a “train”, suitably trimmed on their outer circumference, delicately work the fibers forming a very fine carding veil which in the last machine is divided into small ribbons, to which false twists are imparted to round them and provide them with a circular section appearance that represents the carding preparation called “wick”.
This skilful art can count on systems with technology updated in July 2021, which allows the adjustment of machine-by-machine movements to get the most out of every single production batch.
